is DFS?
DFS is your outsource vendor for more
than 2000 business products small- to medium-sized businesses use every day.
Qualified Dealers are appointed by DFS on a non-exclusive basis to sell
DFS products and services to their small business customers.

How
does your pricing structure work?
You will earn generous profit margins between 30%-50% on the following product
lines: custom printing, checks, forms, labels, stationery, healthcare forms,
tax forms and holiday cards.
What
products does DFS offer?
DFS offers over 2,000 quality products backed by our 100% guarantee. Our
product line includes Business Forms, Computer Forms, Checks, Labels, Stationery,
Holiday Cards, Tax Forms, Promotional Products, Healthcare Forms, and Custom
Forms & Checks.
How
does your billing system work?
DFS will bill the Dealer only. All orders are invoiced separately after
the order has been shipped. Our terms are net 15 days from date of invoice.
We ship on open account, subject to credit approval. If our credit department
has questions, we will call you.
How
do I place an order?
There are four ways to order:

With your DFS catalog in hand, you can use our on-line order forms to
place your order.

How
do I calculate retail pricing?
To calculate dealer pricing for a 30% margin, multiply the retail price
in the catalog by .7 (point seven), e.g. the retail price on 9024-1 multi-purpose
check is $107 for 1,000. The calculation would then be: $107 x .7 = $74.90.
Can
I order all DFS products on-line?
Yes, with a DFS catalog in hand you can order any of our products on-line.
If you don't see a product you are interested in simply call one of our

Where
do I mail orders to?

How
can I rush an order?
Rush services are available on these DFS product lines:
- Checks:
For a nominal fee, DFS guarantees 72-hour delivery of imprinted checks
to you, or your customer's address.
- Custom
Printing: Rush services are also available for any custom order at a nominal
fee. Delivery times vary based off job complexities, please contact your
Custom Representatives for details: 1-800-593-6767.
- General
Orders: To expedite other orders, we recommend that you take the following
steps:
- E-Mail,
phone, or fax the order to us.
- Request
UPS Next Day or Express Mail.
- Ship
product directly to your customer.
How
do I pay for my order?
DFS bills Dealers only. All orders are invoiced separately after shipping-net
15 days from date of invoice. We ship on open account, subject to credit
approval. DFS does not offer COD shipping. Orders are subject to credit
approval. Pre-payment will speed orders through our credit department. With
credit approval, terms are net 15 days from the date of the invoice. Otherwise,
terms are payment with order. New orders with past due accounts are held
until outstanding balance is cleared up. We reserve the right to change
dealer status if payment history warrants. We accept major credit cards.

When can I expect to
receive my order?
DFS processes and ships all standard imprinted products within three working
days. Custom Printing orders ship six business days from receipt of your
proof approval. Call for shipping time for orders with printing options
added. New logo orders and changes to existing logos require additional
processing time. Stock product orders are shipped in 24 hours.
How
can I check the status of my order?
You can check
the status of your order by following one of the options below:
Enter the past order number into "order
status field" found at the top of the screen and select "go".
Order numbers can be found on the order confirmation email that was received
when your order was placed. You will be presented with a page that will
display the order status as shipped or in process.
Or if you choose, you can use The DFS Order Status Line. Just call 1-800-260-6633
and follow the prompts. The Fax back Order Status Line is available Monday
- Friday 7 a.m.- 10 p.m. Eastern Time. Please
note that we must have your fax number on file to use this service.
What if there's a problem with
an order?
Call your Dealer Representative and explain the problem. We back all our
products with our 100% no-fault guarantee.
Camera-Ready
Artwork Guidelines
To ensure DFS delivers a quality product that meets your expectations, please
follow these important guidelines. (Very soon, we'll be able to process
this information on-line).
Artwork.
Provide black-and-white artwork for best quality scan in our computerized
system. Do not send negatives or photocopies.
Screens, Graduated
Fills, or Pantographs.
Please remove all screens, graduated fills and pantograph designs from your
artwork. Simply indicate the location of screening, or send us samples of
the artwork with and without the screen.
Send backprinting copy and pantographs
in solid black art, and we will screen them in. Our standard screen is 20%.
However, we can print any percent you request.
Bendays.
Bendays are screened background logos. Remove the benday from the main form
and send it as solid black artwork. Indicate the benday location and approximate
size to ensure accurate placement and composition. Standard shading is 15%.
Electronic Artwork.
If you submit custom art in digital format, please fill out a Disk Approval
Form. You'll find software formats required and other specifications.
Additional Colors.
If colors are not touching on artwork, it's not necessary to send color
separations. Indicate color placements and we will make the separations.
Blockout.
We can drop in blockout. Just indicate the location.
Custom Logo Samples.
Send a clear black-and-white print of the custom logo, preferably original
artwork. We cannot work from photographs, raised print samples or sketches.
The design must not contain screen tints or fine lines. Allow additional
time for processing. A copy of all logo art will be retained in DFS files
to expedite future orders.

Can the imprint be in a choice of
ink color?
We can produce most products with your choice of ink color, through our
custom forms department. You can modify color, text copy, add or delete
columns on any standard form shown in our Quality Business Printing catalog.
